Google on the CES (the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, where Larry Page speaks) announced they’re soon going to start selling video online, offering a way for people to search for and buy TV shows and more through its site.

Google’s software bundle Google Pack is now live as reported here.
"We didn’t pay them, and they aren’t paying us" the google blog reports.
The package includes the following:

Google Earth (the desktop version of Google Earth), Picasa (a photo management utility), Google Pack Screensaver (which turns your personal photo collection into a screensaver), Google Desktop (which searches your PC, among many other features),Firefox with Google Toolbar, Norton Antivirus 2005 Special Edition, Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer, Ad-Aware SE Personal (which removes spyware and such), Trillian (an instant messenger),GalleryPlayer HD Images (basically, 25 Jpegs to add to the screensaver), Google Video Player (“Play videos purchased and downloaded through the Google Video website"), Google Talk (Google’s own chat software), RealPlayer, Adobe Reader 7 (for displaying PDFs)

Google disclosed yesterday it acquired Reqwireless Inc., which makes Web browser and e-mail software for wireless devices -- although the small wireless company's products are no longer available for purchase.
